Mr Blonde 2019 Edition is another delightful addition to To Øl's long running Mr. series. A Gose style sour beer, it is very refreshing and boasts a pale amber hue and aromas and flavours of lime, pepper and cucumber. Brewed with un-malted wheat, Cara Pils and Pilsner malt, as well as a good and proper dose of Citra and Tettnanger hops, it truly is a phenomenal modern example of the style.

SOUR BEER has an intentionally acidic, tart or sour taste. At one time, all beers were sour to some degree. Unlike modern, sterile brewing, sour beers intentionally allow wild yeast strains or bacteria into the brew. Another method used for achieving a tart flavour is adding fruit during the aging process to spur a secondary fermentation. In recent times, sour beer has surged in popularity and fantastic examples are available from around the world.
TO ØL is based in Copenhagen, Denmark and is what is known as nomad or contract brewery, meaning it doesn’t own its own brewing facilities but instead brews at other breweries with spare capacity. This structure means they have developed strong relationships built on experience, mutual understanding and a shared passion for quality and product development. Producing at breweries with which it has a long history ensures consistency, whereas producing at breweries helps develop new approaches.
