The 12 year old Real McCoy rum is matured in heavily charred bourbon barrels. Rich and oaky, heavy vanilla and brown sugar aromas are swiftly followed by banana fritters. On the palate, the rich flavours of chocolate are bold with a touch of smoke slowly developing before a finish of barrel char and chocolate-coated peanuts completes the wonderful experience.

REAL McCOY SPIRITS from Barbados produce rum based on the story of Bill McCoy, the pioneer rum runner of the Prohibition era and a man who made a name for himself because he never adulterated the alcohol in any way. Today, Real McCoy’s multi-award winning collection of rum is produced in using Bill’s Prohibition Tradition®. The rum is completely unadulterated -- there are no added sugars, flavours or perfumes – and they use only the finest blackstrap molasses and pure spring water. The rums are small batch single-distilled in a rare artisan combination of column and pot stills, then authentically aged in heavy char American Oak bourbon barrels.
