This is a wonderful expression of an Italian Pinot-Noir. It offers a feminine and expressive bouquet layered with pressed rose petal, wild berry and pine nuts. The flavours are deliciously elegant flavours with soft red fruits complemented by a hint of cinnamonn spice and an elegant mouth watering aftertaste. Crisp tannins and fresh acidity help to make this a very complete wine and one which is slightly more robust and round that other cold climate Pinot-Noirs.

Pinot Noir is the red wine grape of Burgundy and is now adopted in wine regions all over the world, achieving particular success in New Zealand and USA. It's unique charm offers aroma of strawberry and fresh red cherry in lighter wines and stewed black cherries in weightier examples. Well-built Pinot Noirs also exhibit notes of leather and violets.
"A surprisngly robust pinot-Noir that is a superb example of Italian production. Very rewarding."
Alto Adige is located just below the Italian border with Austria in a ‘Y’ shaped glacial valley. The vineyards creep up the valleys in horizontal rows and although only small - circa 13,000 acres - the region varies enough to have 7 distinct growing sub-regions. It is widely regarded to produce the world’s best Pinot Grigio alongside superb Pinot Bianco and Pinot Noir. The city of Bolzano is in the centre of Alto Adige and is well worth a visit for its truly incredible scenery.
