SAUVIGNON BLANC is a white-wine grape from western France, now successfully grown in emerging and established wine regions all over the world. While widely associated with the Loire Valley, it is more likely to have originated from Bordeaux where it is typically blended with Semillon. The classic Sauvignon Blanc experience ranges from grass, nettles, blackcurrant leaf and asparagus to green apples and gooseberries.
LOIRE VALLEY, FRANCE - The Loire Valley is situated in western France. Following the course of the Loire river, it sits at the heart of France, running from the hills of Auvergne to the plains of the Atlantic coast. Sancerre and Pouilly-Fume are the Loire Valley’s most famous wines but the region offers great diversity alongside high quality. This means that wines ranging from light, tart Muscadet to the sparkling whites of Vouvray and juicy, tannic reds of Chinon and Saumur are also very popular.
